Tell me you love me....Come back and haunt me..

Sorry for being so awful at updating things recently! I'm still adjusting to the new job, its going good though. I'll be working up until Friday, then I will be off work till the 5th of January.....cannot wait!!!

The conference in Leeds was good, it basically involved lots of food really, plus boring seminars. On the last night it was so funny watching all the oldies on the dance floor, pissed. I only quickly made a trip to h&m, I got a lovely cropped tuxedo jacket, so a photo of that to come soon.

I've also been really sorting out junk in my bedroom, so at the moment I my floor is covered in piles of stuff. I can't take any outfit photos because its such a tip. I had to take a break from it tonight to watch Nigella, I love watching her Christmas programmes so much.

I'm hoping this week I will catch up on blogging, next week I will makes sure to post lots, and read lots. I will get round to reading all of your lovely posts tomorrow when I get home from work. With a bowl of rice pudding. It will be perfect. Goodnight x

It's not always rainbows and butterflies

Today was a bit dull, but I got the new issue of ID at work, and a cute little windmill thing. It has igglepiggle from in the night garden on it, which I am a bit obsessed with.

Here's some pictures from wad magazine, not too good, but the best I could do. Click to enlarge.

Oh what can I do, I still need you, but I don't want you now

Last night I experimented with my Halloween make up. I finish work at 8 on Friday, so I thought I should really try and plan ahead a little. I also changed my plan of what to be. I did mess up my room quite a bit, so had a little tidy after and found some things I haven't worn in ages for some reason.
Old new look lacey top with pretty sleeves, last worn perhaps 3 years ago.

Primark floaty white camisole, and charity shop bolero type thing.

I will have clearer pictures of these once I've worn them out.

Oh, these pretty pictures were in The Sunday Times Style magazine the other week, at the time I did try and find the pictures online but no luck, maybe now they are up somewhere. I took a couple of pictures on my phone because I thought they were very pretty.

Stuart Sutcliffe and Astrid Kirchherr

Last night I watched 'Stuart Sutcliffe: the Lost Beatle' on BBC4. Stuart was the original bassist of The Beatles for two years, he left the group to study art which was his main passion. The programme told of the groups stay in Hamburg, and featured the letters he wrote home to his mum and sister. Stuarts girlfriend Astrid was mentioned often in the letters, 'I'm still a bit sad that you think I’ve made a mess of my future, but out of it all I have something to really compensate – my love for Astrid which knows no boundaries and her love for me'. Astrid was immediately drawn to the Beatles when she fist saw them perform 'It was like a merry-go-round in my head, they looked absolutely astonishing... My whole life changed in a couple of minutes. All I wanted was to be with them and to know them'. Astrid and Stuart were later engaged in the same year they met(1960), Stuart lived with her after leaving the group but he became very ill and died of a brain hemorrhage in 1962 aged 21.

I'm really inspired by the late 50's and early 60's and Stuart and Astrid were such a beautiful couple, I can only imagine what it was like when the Beatles first started playing in hamburg, but this programme gave more insight into it.

I'll get back to a more fashion related post soon!
